Bleifrei

Fiction | ca. 20min | In postproduction | Directed by Tina Muffler & Emma Hütt

The film BLEIFREI relocates the world-famous and oldest lesbian bar in Germany, La Gata, from Frankfurt am Main to the concrete wasteland of a truck stop. Friends Zuza, Toni and Lolly spent their youth in the midst of this fictional utopia in a bleak reality, between the highway and provincial villages. The three friends demonstrate to each other in a late-pubescent frenzy through the places of the Autohof that their friendship is not just the transition to the final destination of middle-class nuclear family happiness. It's about women* who are always too: too pretty, too loud, too energetic, too sensitive, too ugly, too arrogant, too self-confident, too insecure, too offensive.
